The
Hidden Truth
The boys return to Central, only to find
the library in ruins, and to make it even worse, they've been assigned guards to
protect them from the alchemist murder who is still on the loose. Upon
further investigation, though, they learn that there might still be some home
... Good for them that one rather curious girl has
'borrowed' a lot of material from the library, right? Sheska has another
interesting ability: whatever she's read, she can remember perfectly, but when
she presents Edward and Alphonse with the manuscripts that she's been able to
replicate, they're positive that there's a mistake when they realize that it's a
... cook book?!
Still under the ever-watchful eye of
Maria and Ross, they decide that he must have hidden the information in the
guise of recipes, and they set out to crack the 'code'. When Sheska comes
around to check on the boys' progress, she is 'commandeered' by Hughes to go to
work for him!
Edward finally realizes something that
he had overlooked, and when the existence of a hidden laboratory--the Fifth
Laboratory that is rumored to
have been participating in some shady research and is located conveniently
beside the Central Prison is brought to light, the boys
decide that the answers that they're looking for--the secret of the
Philosopher's Stone--just might be located somewhere inside ...
