"The Full Metal Alchemist Trading Card Game is the official card game of the Full Metal Alchemist Anime. Since its beginnings in August of 2005, the FMA TCG has earned tremendous raise from both the Anime and Gaming World. Recently, it won the title of "Anime Game of the Year" from Anime Insider Magazine. Five expansions, each featuring characters, locations, and events from the various phases of the anime series, have so far been released. Its sixth expansion, Sacrifice, will be released this February.

The essentials of the game are as follows. A team consists of a leader and associated allies, which compete against one or more other leaders for clues that will lead to the Philosopher's Stone. Each turn, a location is played that the players will compete over, the winner of which will gain a designated number of "clue points." The winner of the game is decided when a certain number of clue points are reached, or if a leader and his or her entire party is defeated at the end of the turn. Each leader has up to four different levels, which can be attained as time passes in the game, which successively feature stronger statistics, better abilities, and an increased ability to recruit allies to the cause. During each turn, each player gets a chance to recruit allies, power up their leaders, equip their characters with powerful items, and battle for clue points. The game features various card types, including one-time use events and constantly available "advantage" cards that allow players to use special abilities. In the new expansion, Sacrifice, characters can use "stone" cards once they have reached a certain level of points, which allow even more powerful abilities to be used. The game now features dozens of leaders. If you have a favorite character from the series, you most likely will be able to use that character as the head of your team. Leaders can hail from one of four factions: Military, Homunculus, Rebels, and Elrics. It is easiest to recruit allies of the same faction as your leader, but if you wish you can mix and match (to a certain extent). Thus, if you wanted to lead your team with Scar, but if you want Roy Mustang's powerful alchemy or gluttony's frightening strength on your side, you can make it happen!

The FMA TCG is now available in stores across the country, sold in starter (approx. $9.99) or booster (approx. $3.99) packs. If you would like more information, visit the official website at
http://www.fma-tcg.com. Once you get into the game, you can search for local tournaments in your area, where you can earn rare and valuable promotional cards, at http://joyride.gamersroundtable.com/.  An exciting game featuring your favorite anime characters awaits, the sooner you get into the FMA TCG, the sooner you will wonder why you hadn't tried it before!"
